Dandelions

Children universally delight in the dandelion, tasting, squeezing and blowing the parachute seeds hither and yon. They lovingly gather bouquets as gifts. As adults we spend endless amounts of time pulling them our of the ground or bombarding them with chemicals. Yet in China, the dandelion is regarded as one of their top six healing herbs. In this series I explore the different perspectives that express the flower's beauty and honor its place in the natural order through line, scale, texture and colour.
