Max sofa sitting on Collinson and Cook St.

I didn't have a sitter lined up for my shoot, so I took a book along and was reading in the sun beside the sofa, waiting for a suitable subject when I saw a woman accompanied by a very small dog approaching from a distance. As they got closer, I recongnized the dog walker as Wendy Welch, Executive Director of the Vancouver School of Art. What luck! Surely she would appreciate the artistic vision of the Sofa Sitters project. As it turned out the Max belonged to Wendy's mom; he was bursting with confidence, as only small dogs can.
