Black on black, Abby sofa sitting on Bank St.

The tall grass made it obvious this black sofa had been sitting in the abandoned lot for quite some time. I was hoping a light coloured dog would pass by, and was about to give up when I saw Abby with her owner Bianca. I didn't think the photograph was going to work with a black dog as well as shooting directly into the light. But when Bianca, who was crouched behind the sofa, softly called, Abby threw her head back just as I snapped the picture. The result was dramatic and the light just perfect. How wrong I was!
